Hadron Collider

The Hadron Collider is a massive particle accelerator used by physicists to study the smallest known particles. Two beams of subatomic particles protons or lead ions will travel in opposite directions, then colliding the two beams head-on at very high energy. Some people are afraid that it will create strange matter which turns everything it touches into strange matter, meaning everything could become strange matter. To my understanding strange matter is basically miniature big bangs. Another fear is the fact that doing this give off tiny black holes , which most evaporate milliseconds after creation. Some people think that there is a possibility of creating a large black hole that doesn't evaporate.
